Parallaxer beta 3New in Beta 3- Animation support
- Load external images
- Attach objects to the parallax effect
About the new stuff:Beta 3 has support for nice animations now that you control manually from the event editor. The reason why I didn't add stuff like "animation speed" that changed the frames automatically is because I feel it would be too limiting. With this metod you can change the current frame to the result from a sine function or whatever you like.
The Load Image action can load an external image from a file and either append it to the animation or remove all the other and become the only image.
There is also an incredibly useful action to attach objects to the parallax-effect like attaching the windmills to the landscape. That way they move with the landscape as you would expect them to completely automatically so you don't have to worry about figuring out a scroll-coefficient for them. Have a look at the events in the different frames.
The attach-feature even works when stretching the object, so you can make really cool 3D effects. Have a look at the disco floor example. It looks like the camera moves up and down while it moves sideways. Really gives depth to the scene.

Note 1: This was designed for software mode. It runs somewhat OK in the HWA beta on my machine but it is not close to optimal. When HWA is out, I'll try to make an optimized version.
Note 2: To remove a v-sync glitch I switched mode to DirectX in the runtime for the example file. If it doesn't work well for you, just switch back to standard display mode.
Note 3: I tried hard making this new version 100% backwards compatible with beta2 so you shouldn't have any problems loading up your games made with beta2.
